Woman tries to snatch four-year-old boy from inside McDonald's

A woman calmly tried to snatch a four-year-old boy from inside a McDonald's.

The woman was caught on camera approaching the boy before picking him up and walking toward the exit.

The suspect attempted to enter a parked vehicle with the child but a little girl alerted adults, the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) said.

After being discovered the woman then fled the scene.

The LAPD have appealed for information about the attempted abduction on Tuesday.

Detectives are investigating whether it is linked to an attempted kidnap - also of a four-year-old boy, in Los Angeles on Wednesday mornimg.

The suspect approached the child, pulled his hand and attempted to walk away with the victim.

The boy was walking alongside a family member when the attempt kidnap occurred, police said.

The suspect was stopped by a witness in the area and ran off.

In both cases the suspect has been described as a  25 to 30-year-old black or Hispanic woman with black hair.

She stands at roughly 5ft 4in tall and weighs approximately 115 pounds.
