A driver ran from the scene of a crash, leaving a passenger trapped inside.
Emergency services were called to reports of a crash on Orrell Road, in Bootle, at around 11pm on Friday, June 17. At the scene, they found a car had flipped over and hit a lamp post.
A passenger in the car, a woman in her 30s, was found trapped inside the car. She was cut free by fire fighters using edraulic cutting equipment and taken to hospital, Merseyside Police report.

Officers are now appealing for information, after the driver of the car left the scene. A spokesperson for the force said: "Enquiries are ongoing to identify and locate the people responsible. CCTV and witness enquiries into the incident are ongoing, and anyone with any information is asked to contact police.
