A woman has been taken to hospital after a near miss when a large tree fell on top of her car.
Emergency services were called to Angas St, Ainslie on Thursday afternoon where an elderly woman was trapped after the large gumtree fell on to her car.
Firefighters used chainsaws and other equipment to free the woman while paramedics stabilised her.
Paramedics took the woman to hospital in a stable condition with minor injuries.

Crews on the scene said she was very lucky not to have received more serious injuries.
The recent wet weather and wind were likely the cause of the tree being uprooted.
