You can't beat a good film night at home, especially when you've created the perfect comfortable space to curl up and watch favourites old and new.
There's also the added benefit that it doesn't cost an arm and a leg - and you can pause for a drink refill at any time.
But while many of us simply turn off the big light, grab a blanket, and hit play, there are others who strive to create the perfect ambience, crafting spaces that allow them to simply sink back and disappear from the real world for a while.
One talented DIY expert has managed to transform a living room area into a cinema worthy of a Hollywood watch party, with a home theatre so beautiful that friends may well expect to stump up for tickets at the door.

On TikTok, a woman - who goes by the username anothadiyproject - can be seen putting MDF black panelling boards across the walls of the lounge and painting the ceiling to match.
The Atlanta-based TikToker - who "make pretty things with power tools" - can also be seen fitting some mood-enhancing dipped lighting, which she says she bought from Amazon.
She then lines the windows with black-out curtains, fits a popcorn station, and hangs a variety of movie art on the dark accent walls, just beneath the glow of the lighting.
When paired with a huge comfy sofa and large TV screen, it makes for an ideal space to sit back and relax.
According to the TikTok user, who regularly creates video content about her impressive DIY projects, the transformation took just one week to complete.
Taking to Instagram, she wrote: "I honestly had a lot of fun creating this space! I truly hope that this family enjoys it".
Followers have been left mesmerised by her skills, and have expressed envy at the incredible finished result. One person wrote, "you're very talented", while another admitted, "I wish I had these DYI talents. I really need to convert my bonus room like this".
