Woman transforms jeans from a size 8 to a size 12 with clever 10-minute trick

Many people will know all too well the frustration of owning the perfect pair of jeans, only to find they don't fit quite as well as they should. Luckily, you don't necessarily need to dig out your receipt and head back to the shops, as demonstrated by one resourceful fashionista. A woman by the name of Abby has shown how you can quite literally transform your too-tight jeans in the space of just ten minutes, without requiring any particular skills. Crucially, you also won't need to spend any money whatsoever to get that coveted comfy fit.

Abby recently demonstrated how she was able to turn her snug size eight jeans into a size twelve, and all she needed was a showerhead and approximately ten minutes of free time.

Taking to TikTok, where she goes by the username @its_abby_abigail, Abby could be seen hopping into the shower wearing the jeans, then aiming the shower head directly at the denim until they were completely soaked, before squatting and stretching to loosen up the denim.

Showing the results after she'd air-dried her jeans, Abby, who admits she 'almost cried' when she initially couldn't sit in the too-tight denim, showed how her jeans now fitted her beautifully, with enough room to tuck her knitted jumper into the waistline.

She said in the clip: "I bought five pairs of the same jeans that were all too small so I tried this. Best trick ever. [...] Honestly, it stretched them too much the first time I tried, air dry by the way."

The woman added: "I could hardly button them before doing this. After I was able to even sit at my desk all day, huge difference."

According to Abby, she wore the soggy jeans for around ten minutes, using warm rather than cold water, before leaving them to air dry for two days. Despite having some reservations about how it might feel to wear wet jeans, many of her followers are keen to give the trick a go for themselves.

One person approved: "This is smart but omg the discomfort. Sensory nightmare."

Another applauded: "Omg I have jeans that are too small but I can’t return them I’ll have to try this."
