Woman trampled by cows as she walked dog near mountain beauty spot

A dog walker was airlifted to hospital after she was trampled by cows as she strolled close to a picturesque mountain beauty spot.

The woman and a child were walking their dogs on a path near Capel Curig, near Snowdonia, in North Wales, when the incident occurred.

The animals were described as being aggressive towards her and she was injured.

Two mountain bikers arrived at the scene and chased the animals away and called for help, NorthWalesLive reports.

Emergency crews were alerted to the incident shortly before 1pm on Sunday.

Paramedics were alerted and the air ambulance from Caernarfon scrambled. The Ogwen Valley Mountain Rescue team also attended.

A team spokesman said they were quickly on scene and assisted in the stretcher carry from the incident to the helicoper.

The woman was then airlifted to hospital. Her condition is unknown.

The child was said to be unhurt.
