Gardai are investigating the death of a woman after a house fire in Co Limerick.
The alarm was raised when member of the fire services were told about a burn injury at an address on Monday.
Two units of the fire service went to the scene, the Limerick Leader reports.
It is believed that the woman, aged in her 80s, was in a serious condition at the time.
A member of the fire service travelled with the ambulance to the hospital to help the paramedics.
Garda said that the woman passed away in hospital on Wednesday.
A garda spokesman told the Irish Mirror: "Gardaí are investigating a sudden death incident following a fire at a house in Hospital, Co Limerick on November 9 at around 8pm.
The lady, aged in her 80s, later died on November 11 in hospital.
"A file will now be prepared for the coroner."
