In what appears to be a cursed DIY project, a woman is set to face court after she was caught allegedly using cardboard cutouts for number plates in Sydney.
On July 4, at about 11.30pm, a 32-year-old woman driving a Hyundai Veloster was pulled over on The River Road in Revesby after police officers noticed the car had cardboard cutouts in the place of number plates, 9News reports.
In an image shared by NSW Police, the alleged arts and crafts number plates can be seen duct-taped to the back of the car, with the numbers written in black marker.

After pulling over the car, police discovered that the woman had been recently suspended from driving for going over the speed limit by more than 45km/hr.
As a result, police confiscated her plates for three months.
It’s alleged that the woman claimed to have used cardboard license plates so she could visit a friend.
Following the stop, she was issued a court attendance notice for multiple driving and vehicle offences.
