Woman to appear in court charged in connection with death of Wexford dad Phillip Doyle who died after stabbing

A woman is due in court charged in connection with the death of a dad-of-three who was killed in a stabbing.

Phillip Doyle, 33, died after an incident at a home in Gorey, Co Wexford in the early hours of January 26.

And gardai on Thursday afternoon arrested a woman, aged in her 30s, in connection with the investigation.

She is to be charged before a sitting of Wexford District Court at 5.15pm this evening.

Gardai discovered Mr Doyle with stab wounds in the front garden of a house in Ramsgate Village, Gorey after 2am on the morning of January 26.

He was treated by the emergency services but was pronounced dead at the scene a short time later.
