A woman thought she was "going to die" when thousands of litres of boiling water flooded into her flat in the middle of the night.
Treana Wilson was sound asleep on Tuesday when she was suddenly woken up by a loud hissing noise coming from the airing cupboard.
Ms Wilson, 61, then screamed in terror when she opened the door and litres of boiling water came gushing out of a burst pipe and scalded her neck.
Unable to reach the stopcock and prevent liquid streaming from the broken pipe, she watched in horror as gallons of water flooded her home.
"When I opened the airing cupboard door, the hot water pipe had burst and it was gushing out at speed," Ms Wilson said.
"When the water was coming out, a million thoughts were going through my mind. 'How do I save my family?'

"It was scary because I didn't have time to think. It was just pure fear."
Ms Wilson said that within 10 minutes her flat, in Leeds, West Yorkshire, was flooded with six inches of scalding hot water.
As the water rose inside the flat she was forced to open her front door, sending litres of water surging down two flights of stairs and eventually bringing down a ceiling on a floor below.
Her 21-year-old daughter Tiffany, who has a six-month-old daughter, dialled 999 as the situation worsened.
Two police officers arrived in minutes and immediately called for backup. Soon there were eight police officers in the flat, Ms Wilson said.
Water kept flooding into the flat for an hour before emergency service personnel were able to disconnect it at the mains.

Ms Wilson said: "My daughter has burns all over her feet and I got burns on my neck and my hand.
"It was just terrifying. I thought we were going to die."
The family were forced to spend the night in the hallway of the building.
Ms Wilson claims her landlord, Yorkshire Housing, didn't come and help with the clear up for two days and that her family was left to do it themselves with buckets.
She added that up to eight people in her building, called Liberty View, have endured burst pipes within the past six weeks.
A Yorkshire Housing spokesman said: "Customer safety is of paramount importance to us and we strive to carry out any repair issues our customers raise as swiftly as possible.
"We can confirm that repairs have been undertaken at Liberty View and the faulty parts that caused the issue have been replaced.
"We will continue to provide support to our affected customers and ensure that they are comfortable."
