A woman has found herself in a bizarre situation with her neighbour and is completely baffled.
The women recently took to Mumsnet’s Am I Being Unreasonable forum to ask others for their unusual interactions with their next door neighbours in an attempt to put her issue into perspective. The thread was titled ‘Please tell me your worst NDN stories??’.
In the thread, the woman posted her nosy neighbour story to kick things off. According to the anonymous woman, her next door neighbour keeps knowing things about her family - despite never having told him, reports the Mirror.

She wrote: "We have a neighbour who seems to constantly know our business without us telling him, for example last week we popped out and bought a new laptop as our old one was finished.
"We haven't spoken about it to him or mentioned it in the garden but today he popped up (over the fence) to my husband and said: "How is your new laptop?
"He must have seen us carrying it in! Despite it not being a big item. My husband definitely hadn't mentioned it to him and neither had I. So he's either spying or watching via his Ring doorbell. (This isn't the first time he's suddenly known stuff about us without us telling him and I've caught him spying before now.)
"So please, tell me your worst next-door neighbour stories? Then maybe I can put this in perspective!"
Many Mumsnet users were quick to share their own odd neighbourly experiences. One said: “Sounds exactly like our neighbour. She doesn't miss ANYTHING. We are detached and live opposite each other, and she hears my conversations and will comment on them
“Occasionally I find it amusing, but most of the time it freaks me out hugely and I swear she's bugged my house. I simply don't understand how she knows so much.”
Another added: “My next door neighbour chopped off the edge of our patio with an angle grinder. He then called me a ‘b******’ when I told him to stop and said we were being territorial over our land! His missus said we were Making them feel like criminals when all they wanted was a bigger house (they were building a kitchen extension and apparently it’s ok to steal some of our land)”.
