Woman tasered by police after man attacked with machete in Leeds

Four people have been arrested after a man was seriously injured during a machete attack in Leeds.

Armed police were called to Dawlish Mount in East End Park shortly after 9am on Thursday, May 21 after a man was seen with a machete.

The officers arrested two men, aged 22 and 24, and a 22-year-old woman at a nearby house. They had to use a taser to subdue the woman.

They then found a 30-year-old man who had suffered injuries that are believed to be serious but not life threatening.

A West Yorkshire Police spokesman said: "The 30-year-old man was taken to hospital for treatment and arrested in connection with the incident.

"A scene is currently in place in Dawlish Mount and Leeds District CID is continuing enquiries into the incident."

Anyone with information about the attack should phone West Yorkshire Police on 101.
