Woman taken to hospital with serious injuries after being hit by a lorry

A woman has been seriously injured after being hit by a lorry in Disley.

Emergency services were called to the collision involving a HGV and pedestrian on Market Street (A6) at around 10am on Friday (September 25).

The pedestrian - a woman - was taken to hospital with serious injuries, Cheshire Police confirmed.

Police are now asking anyone with information about the crash to get in touch.

Market Street was closed for around an hour earlier today while emergency service attended the incident.

There were queues from the Furness Vale to Newtown along Buxton Road.

Anyone with any information is asked to contact Cheshire Police on 101 quoting IML 813188.
