Woman taken to hospital following crash on busy Gwent road

A woman was taken to hospital after a crash near a busy supermarket on Tuesday.

Emergency services attended an incident on Station Road, Chepstow, near the Tesco superstore, after reports of a two-vehicle collision just after 8pm on Tuesday, February 8.

Police attended along with two emergency ambulances and one rapid response vehicle attended the scene and a woman was taken to hospital. Her age and condition are not known.

A Gwent Police spokesperson said: "We were called at 8.15pm on February 8 following a report of a two vehicle road traffic collision on Station Road in Chepstow.

"A Nissan Qashqai and Landrover were involved. The driver of Qashqai conveyed to the Grange Hospital."

A Welsh Ambulance Service spokesperson said: "We were called yesterday, Tuesday, February 8 at approximately 8.16pm to reports of a road traffic collision on Station Road in Chepstow.

"We sent two emergency ambulances and one rapid response vehicle to the scene. We conveyed one patient to the Grange University Hospital for further treatment."
