
A woman has been taken to hopsital after being struck by a car on the corner of Darby and Tyrell streets in Newcastle on Thursday.
A NSW Abulance crew was called to the scene around 9am after reports a woman had been hit by a vehicle near the city centre.
A spokesperson for the Ambulance said paramedics treated the woman at the scene before she was taken to hopsital for further treatment.
The woman appeared to have suffered an injury to her leg, and had hit her head when she fell.
The woman was taken to John Hunter Hospital in a stable condition, the spokesperson said.
