Woman taken to hospital after serious tractor crash

Pictures show the wreckage of a mangled car after it was involved in a collision with a tractor.

The fire service was alerted to the crash on The Street, West Harptree, at 8.03pm yesterday evening (October 16).

A woman was rescued from the car using hydraulic cutters while a total of five crews from four fire stations attended.

Firefighters used a high-pressure hose reel jet to clean the road, before leaving at 9.50pm.

Stations involved were Temple, Blagdon (two crews), Paulton and Chew Magna.
