Woman taken to hospital after Hartcliffe crash near retail park

A woman was taken to hospital yesterday evening (September 16) after a crash in Bristol.

Police and paramedics were called to the two-vehicle collision in Hartcliffe Way shortly after 6pm.

Road closures were in place while emergency services dealt with the incident.

Pictures taken at the time of the incident show a number of police vehicles at a turning near the Imperial Retail Park.

A spokesperson for Avon and Somerset Constabulary said: "We were called to a two-vehicle collision on Hartcliffe Way, Bristol which happened shortly after 6pm yesterday (Wednesday 15 September).

"Police and ambulance services attended and a female was taken to hospital. A road closure was put in place while emergency services were at the scene and the road was reopened at 8pm."

South Western Ambulance Service Foundation Trust have been contacted for further comment on the woman's injuries.
