Woman taken to hospital after 'falling ill' at café in Wythenshawe

A woman has been taken to hospital after 'falling ill' at a cafe in Wythenshawe .

Emergency services were called to Met Stop Diner at the Civic Centre at around 1.20pm on Thursday afternoon.

A woman, believed to be in her 30s, was taken via ambulance to hospital.

Her condition is not yet known.

Local residents reported seeing a number of police cars near the Civic Centre on Hay Top.

GMP have been contacted for comment.

A spokesperson for North West Ambulance said: "We were called shortly after 1.20pm to Hale Top in Wythenshawe.

"We received reports that a woman in her 30s fell ill at the Met Stop Diner at the civic centre.

"She has been taken to hospital for treatment."
