Woman taken to hospital after emergency water rescue in Stapleford

A woman was taken to hospital after she was rescued from water in Stapleford.

Firefighters were called to the incident in Moorbridge Lane on Wednesday morning, July 14.

Crews from the Stapleford and Ilkeston fire stations were were supported by water rescue teams.

A statement on the Stapleford Fire Station Facebook page read: "A female was rescued from the water and conveyed to hospital by East Midlands Ambulance service.

"We wish her a speedy and full recovery."
