Woman taken to hospital after emergency rescue in Glasgow

A woman was hospitalised after an emergency rescue in Glasgow.

The 40-year-old female was rushed to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in the city on Friday, May 8.

The incident happened on Carmichael Place after the alarm was raised at around 8.40pm.

Fire crews and officers from Police Scotland raced to the scene after receiving reports of "concern for a person" in the area.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "We received a report of concern for a person on Carmichael Place, Glasgow, around 8.40pm on Friday, 8 May, 2020.

"A 40-year-old woman was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for assessment."
