Woman taken to hospital after car crashes into house

An injured woman has been taken to hospital after the car she was in collided with a property in a residential area of Cardiff .

Emergency services were called to the incident in Templeton Avenue in Llanishen just before 10.20am on Sunday, March 31.

A spokeswoman for the Welsh Ambulance Service confirmed the casualty was taken to the University Hospital of Wales with "minor injuries".

South Wales Fire and Rescue Service said crews from Ely and Whitchurch attended the collision.

Their spokeswoman said: "A private motor vehicle collided with a property."

She said there was a woman inside the vehicle, who was assisted by fire crews before being attended to by paramedics.

A spokeswoman for South Wales Police said: "[We] received reports of a vehicle that had collided with a property on Templeton Close.

"The driver was injured and officers were supported on scene by the Welsh Ambulance Service."

An eyewitness described seeing several ambulances, fire engines, and police vehicles in the area.

Crews were at the scene for about an hour.
