Woman taken to hospital after being struck by car in Salford

A woman was taken to hospital after being struck by a car in Salford.

Emergency services were called to Bolton Road, in Pendlebury, just after 2.30pm on Sunday.

A woman, in her 20s, suffered head injuries but her condition at this stage is unknown.

She was taken to hospital by the North West Ambulance Service.

A spokeswoman for NWAS said the woman was conscious and breathing when they attended the scene.

She said: "We were called to a road traffic collision involving a pedestrian and a car at 2.31pm yesterday.

"We treated a female patient in her 20s.

"Police were informed. We sent an ambulance and an advanced paramedic.

"A patient was taken to Salford Royal hospital in an ambulance.

"She suffered head injuries."
