A woman has been taken to hospital after being hit by a bus in the city centre.
Police were called to Oxford Road, close to the Royal Northern College of Music, at 4.10pm today to reports of a collision between a pedestrian and a bus.
The road was closed for more than an hour while emergency services worked at the scene.
A number of Stagecoach and First Manchester bus services were diverted along other routes while the road was sealed off.
The woman's injures are thought to be serious but not life threatening.

Police described the incident as "serious" on social media.
On Twitter a statement read: "We've just had a report of a serious road traffic collision on Oxford Road resulting in closure in both directions."
