Woman suffers serious injuries after van hit-and-run in Pontypridd

A woman is in hospital with serious injuries after being hit by a van in Pontypridd.

South Wales Police confirmed at approximately 10.45pm on Monday, August 3, an incident occurred involving a pedestrian and a white van on Berw Road, Pontypridd.

A statement from the force said: "The pedestrian – a 39-year-old woman from Llantwit Fardre – was taken to hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries where’s she’s described as stable.

"The driver of the white van left the scene without stopping."

An investigation into the incident is now underway, and anybody with information is urged to contact South Wales Police via 101 providing reference *279307.
