A woman was taken to hospital after suffering a head injury in a three car crash in Bootle.
The emergency services were called out to the junction of Hawthorne Road and Linacre Lane at around 12.51pm today ( Monday) following reports of a crash.
Police said that the crash involved a Ford Focus, a Suzuki and a Range Rover.

A woman who was in the Suzuki was taken to hospital by ambulance, police said.
A spokesperson for the ambulance service said the woman suffered a 'head injury.'
Police closed a section of Hawthorne Road, which later re-opened.
