A woman was hurt in a hit-and-run Monday in McKinley Park on the Southwest Side.

About 2:43 a.m., she was standing outside and arguing with a male who was sitting in a parked beige or gold-colored SUV in the 3200 block of South Archer Avenue, Chicago police said.

According to a witness, the woman appeared to walk in front of the car to keep it from leaving and was struck when it drove off, police said. The vehicle continued south on Archer after the crash.

The woman suffered a laceration to the head and bruising to her body, police said. She was taken to Stroger Hospital where her condition was stabilized.

No arrests have been reported. Area Central detectives are investigating.
