
A woman was fatally stabbed Friday in the South Shore neighborhood, according to police.
Officers were called about 8:30 p.m. for a stabbing at a home in the 7400 block of South Chappel and found the woman unresponsive, Chicago police said.
She had been stabbed multiple times in the body and was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. The incident appears to be domestic-related.
The Cook County medical examiner’s office has not released details about the death.
Area Central detectives are conducting a homicide investigation.
