Woman stabbed in horror attack inside East Ham restaurant

A woman has been taken to hospital after being stabbed inside a restaurant.

A man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of grievous bodily harm.

Metropolitan Police officers were called to the scene in Barking Road at 2.20pm on Friday to reports of a stabbing.

A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called to reports of a stabbing on Barking Road, E6.

“We sent two ambulance crews, a medic in a fast response car and an incident response office. We also dispatched London’s Air Ambulance.

“We treated a woman at the scene and took her to a major trauma centre as a priority.”
