A woman was stabbed after violence erupted at a shopping precinct.
The 45 year old victim was rushed to hospital after being knifed during the sickening scenes, police today confirmed.
The woman was slashed in the leg after a fight broke out.
Emergency services were called to Scholes Precinct, a shopping parade in Wigan, shortly after 7pm on Sunday, reports the MEN.

A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police said: "At around 7.15pm on Sunday 4 April 2021, police were called by NWAS with a report that a woman had been stabbed in the Scholes Precinct area of Wigan following a fight."
Police say her injuries were not believed to be serious, and she has since been discharged.
The spokesperson added: "Officers arrived and a 45-year-old woman was found to have stab wounds to her leg and was later taken to hospital with injuries not believed to be critical and has since been discharged."

A spokesperson for North West Ambulance Service said: "We received a 999 call reporting an incident at Scholes Precinct at 7.07pm on Sunday 4th April.
"We have taken a woman to hospital with serious injuries."
