A woman has said that a heart-shaped light in a photo is a “message” from her mum two-months after she died.
Sharon Hill, 59, from Wallasey, believes that the image that can be seen in a photo taken by an estate agent at her mum’s former home is a “sign she is okay”.
She feels that the heart shaped light taken at the home in Upon, Wirral, “is just too perfect to be anything else”, reported the Liverpool Echo.
Sharon said as soon as she saw the picture the first thing that came to mind was her mum Irene Venables who died suddenly in September last year aged 91.
She said: “We were in the process of selling her house and the woman from the estate agents was there taking pictures.
“She went around the house which was empty and then came back down and flicked through them to see what they were like.
“She noticed the heart shape light and because it was quite strange she went upstairs to take another picture.
“It came up again a second time and she said ‘what the heck is this?’
“At the time I thought wow this is really strange but I took from it that it could be a message or sign from my mum because I can’t think of anything else that it could be.
“Even the estate agent who took the picture said she was gobsmacked. She had been doing the job for years and never seen anything like that.
“That’s why she took a second one because she went downstairs and saw it and then went back up to take another one to make sure it was still there. She checked everything to make sure it wasn’t a reflection in the mirror or glare from jewellery.
“I went straight to Max Spielman with the picture and they said ‘we haven’t got a clue what it is, think of it as your mum’.
The picture, which is now in a frame on the mantelpiece has brought a sense of comfort to Sharon.
She said: “I think it’s a sign letting me and my sister know she is okay and sending love.
“My mum was petrified of dying, always asking questions like, what do you do and what do you think will happen?
“And even though she was at that age, it was a terrible shock to us because she wasn’t meant to go. That’s when I thought, you know what, she’s okay.
“It has given me comfort and I have got the picture in a frame here and it makes me feel happy when I look at it, I really do.”
