A woman who found a little girl wandering alone on a Wirral street said she just did "what any other person would have done".
Tina Milns, who lives in Wallasey, was walking along Manor Road in Liscard when she spotted the six-year-old and flagged down a passing police car.
The girl's mum said her daughter was at a holiday club at Liscard Primary School, which is run by a private provider not connected to the school, and had wandered off.
After she had been found, on Tuesday morning, her mum posted on Facebook group that Wallasey Gossip she was looking to find the woman who had brought her child to safety, who was identified as Tina.

Speaking to the ECHO, Tina said: "I just did what anyone would do.
"I came out of my door and she was just sort of standing there walking slowly looking around.
"She looked over to me and said 'can you help me find my mummy please?'
"I said of course I can and she just grabbed hold of my hand.
"I couldn't see anyone and asked her a few questions and she tried to help as much as she could.
"A police van went past so I flagged it down.
"I'm just glad I found her as it's your worst nightmare, and if I hadn't have you just didn't know where she would have gone and everything.
"I've spoke to the mum and said you don't need to thank me, it's just what anyone would do.
"It's my birthday as well, so probably the best present I could have, to know that she's safe."
A spokesperson for Merseyside Police said: "Two officers on patrol located a little girl on Manor Road this morning.
"She was returned to holiday club and is safe and well."
The ECHO made several attempts to reach the provider for comment.
