Cinema fans who head to showings know with the cheeky habit of popping to the shops beforehand to buy inexpensive snacks. The simple hack is guaranteed to save movie lovers cash as cinema food is famously extortionate.
However, one woman has taken matters to a new extreme after bringing fried chicken into the cinema and it's sparked debate online.
The film-lover shared her snack of choice with her TikTok followers, and many were divided over whether it was 'genius' or 'outrageous' to bring fried food into a cinema.
The viral video clip, which has surpassed 5.1 million views to date, was shared by @mr.memes088 on TikTok - who boasts over 745,000 followers.
Claiming that she and a pal 'can't watch a movie without food', the TikToker joked that sneaking food into the cinema was 'relatable' while pulling a box of fried chicken out of a carrier bag.
Arguably, the most strangest part of all was that the chicken and hot dips were placed inside a Converse shoe box.
Since posting, the TikTok has raked in over 500,000 interactions and over 5,500 comments to date.
Sparking 'outrage' in the comment section, the foodie's bold move caused a huge stir with viewers.
Taking to the popular video, one person wrote: "This is so treacherous."
Meanwhile, someone else said: "This is outrageous."
On the other hand, a third person wrote: "Genius."
A fourth said: "For the millionth time man YOURE ALLOWED TO TAKE FOOD TO THE CINEMAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA."
A fifth TikTok user agreed: "They don't care - I be eating a full course meal in there."
A different user joined in: "Y'all know it's a myth that u can't bring ur own food right."
Someone else claimed: "They literally don't care lol I carried maccas breakfast and a bubble tea in and paid for a ticket."
