No female friends, no social media: Woman sparks huge online debate with list of strict rules for husband

A wife has shared a controversial lists of “rules for my husband” dictating his duties in their marriage.

The list, posted on Facebook, prompted a massive debate online with hundreds of people telling of their shock at the draconian list of instructions.

The wife, who lives in Australia, insists her spouse must have no female friends and work at least 50 hours every week.

Others included keeping the house clean at all times, which some said would be a tall order after a 50 hour work week, and abstaining from social media.

The list of rules

  • No female friends
  • No social media
  • No male friends with partners. Must be single males only.
  • Must work minimum 50 hours a week
  • No smoking
  • Can drink but only 2 times a year or less and not get drunk
  • No Playstation/game machines
  • No porn
  • Must keep house clean at all times
  • No going out without me

Surprisingly these statements were actually part of a new set because the woman had been told her first was “too harsh”.

Some questioned the couple’s relationship, stating there must be issues with trust.

Others suggested that the woman is acting as though she “owns” her husband and suggested she reconsider her stance.

The validity of the rules is unclear, with some believing it may be an online prankster or ‘troll’.

It is also uncertain whether the list is for a current husband or a foreshadowing for a future partner.

Hundreds commented on the original post on Facebook to air their thoughts on it.
