Woman sparks debate with 7pm bedtime 'deal' so husband can play his PlayStation

Arguably, every successful marriage is made up of compromise from both people within the relationship. However, one woman has come under fire with people online after a 'deal' with her husband to make sure she can get an early night's rest and 'unlimited snacks' has backfired.

Becky - who boasts more than 15,000 followers on her TikTok account @lifewithbecky_xo - has sparked a debate online after coming to an agreement with her partner about when he can play his PlayStation. Taking to the popular video-streaming platform to explain the concept, Becky's video has surpassed a whopping 3.6 million views since posting.

Captioning the viral post, she wrote: "MARRIAGE ADVICE."

In the video, Becky shared her vital advice with women about how they can get their partners to 'bring up unlimited snacks'.

She encourages viewers to marry someone who is open to the concept of 'little deals'.

She explained: "Girls marry a man who lets you do little deals with him...

"I go to bed at 7pm, he brings me unlimited snacks up and gets to play his PlayStation downstairs with no bed time."

Since posting, Becky's video has raked in more than 1,400 comments from TikTok users - who were in a hot debate about the controversial ordeal.

One person simply wrote: "So blackmail then."

"The manipulation is on point here," a second added.

Meanwhile, a different user wrote: "Should be able to do that without having to make it a deal."

A fourth said: "Bro has to pay to enjoy his hobby."

Someone else penned: "My parents never gave me a bed time you know damn well my wife ain't either lol."

A sixth wrote: "Sounds like control to me."

Standing by her decision, Becky defended the 'deal' that she has with her husband as she replied: "Oh god seriously? Always one it's not control it's called having banter and a laugh with the person you love … it's hardly over anything serious."

On the other hand, a TikTok user praised the idea: "Deals are the best part of a relationship! 'I'll do you a deal, you go out and I'll stay in with the kids, next week, my turn."

A second agreed: "People don't realise relationships take compromise. Especially if you have children. Has to be give and take!"
