Woman snaps wiper off Uber's windscreen on night out to use as microphone

A woman is caught on camera tearing a wiper off a windscreen of an Uber on a night out and using it as a microphone.

Footage captures the woman in a bright red dress stumble onto a road and stop behind a black Kia operating as an Uber.

And she lunges at the vehicle, grappling with the back windscreen wiper.

Liverpool Echo says the taxi driver got out of the car moments later to find it had been damaged.

A witness in Liverpool city centre can be heard egging her on and shouting "snap it" before saying "that's heavy that".

It is not clear when the clip was filmed but Christmas decorations can be seen in the background.

The woman appears to use the wiper as a microphone on the pavement but throws it into the street moments later.

It is said the shocking video has been shared among private hire drivers in the area to warn them off the behaviour.

One private hire driver, who did not wish to be named, claimed it is typical of the kind of abuse drivers often have to put up with on nights out.

"Here is something you should see, absolute disgrace of a 'lady' damaging a private hire drivers car," he said.

"He’s out there trying to make a living and this happens? Disgusting. Poor driver will have a bill to pay.

"It’s getting harder and harder to make your wage being a private hire driver. We don’t need mindless yobs causing damage to our cars. Most of us take pride in our cars. Sickening really."

It is unclear whether the incident was reported to Merseyside Police.
