Woman slams PrettyLittleThing's see-through skirt after making her own for £1

Have you ever looked in your wardrobe and been disappointed that you didn't own any clothing that was completely see-through?

No? Me neither.

But it turns out there are some people out there who really like the transparent look and as such, PrettyLittleThing are selling a whole range of clear clothing.

The online fashion retailer has a selection of items on their website which will allow people to "dare to bare" during the festival season.

And the garments have caused a bit of a stir on social media.

One young woman was left flabbergasted by the mini skirt and the fact that people have to pay £25 for it.

She soon realised that you could get the same style for much less and decided to have a go at making her own version - and the result is hilarious.

In a post on Twitter the woman, named Natasha, wrote: "@OfficialPLT bit harsh charging your customers £25 for this when I just made it myself for less than a quid."

Underneath this, she shared two photos, one of the PLT skirt and the other of herself, modelling a similarly transparent outfit made of cling film.

But one woman made her own version for under £1 (Natasha Petrou)

One person described her tweet as "inspirational", others were just shocked that the product even existed.

A different user tweeted: "PrettyLittleThing needs to f*** right off this is not a skirt."

"Whoever invented that is clearly on drugs," said a second.

A third added: "£25 to fashion some cling film into a skirt. The world has actually gone mad."

PrettyLittleThing have been contacted for comment.

And this isn't the only item on the brand's website that's been mocked recently.

Last week, a woman named Alisa was shocked to discover that the wasn't actually suitable to wear in water.

After a trip to the pool, the 22-year-old discovered that the blue swimming costume had stained her skin blue, leaving her feeling like a "smurf".

According to the product description, the bikini does have one major flaw - it's not suitable for swimming and should only be worn for "poolside posing".

Alisa thought the whole thing was "absolutely laughable".
