Woman slammed for wearing white to stepdaughter's wedding and 'blocking' vows

A woman has been shamed online for wearing white to her stepdaughter's wedding and blocking guests' view of the happy couple.

The shocking behaviour was highlighted in That's it I'm Wedding Shaming, a popular Facebook group that provides a space for people to vent about poor etiquette.

Attention was turned to a dark haired woman who was photographed standing in the middle of the aisle.

While the happy couple seem distracted by their big moment, at least one person in the audience was furious that their view had been blocked.

When the photo was posted online Facebook users were quick to pile in with words of condemnation.

"People wearing white to a wedding doesn’t bother me but her standing in the middle of the aisle does, " one woman wrote.

"Sit your ratchet ass down."

Another added: "I told my husband that if any woman wore white to my wedding, I would drag them out. I don't care if it was his mother, aunt, my aunts, cousins, or friends.

"I don't know how no one told this ho to sit her attention wanting ass down? Its not her day.. like really?"

A third offered: "This is a big no.

"Plus, she is old enough to know white requires quality foundations. She failed twice that day."

One enraged persons suggested pouring red wine on the dress.

White became a popular option for wedding dresses in 1840, after the marriage of Queen Victoria to Albert of Saxe-Coburg.

The Queen wore a white gown trimmed with Honiton lace.

Illustrations of the wedding were widely published, leading many brides opted for white in accordance with the Victoria's choice.

The trend didn't catch on beyond the upper classes until after WWII however.
