Woman slammed for setting 'trap' for husband to see if he really cleaned

A woman has been slammed after coming up with a ploy to see if her husband really did the cleaning he said he would do.

In a video, the woman said she had agreed with her husband that he would clean the house while she was out with their children.

She said: "my husband said he would clean the house while I take the kids out…"

The TikTok video by @chrissy.j.xx shows the woman placing purple glitter underneath various objects in the house.

She sprinkles the glitter underneath a candle on the windowsill, a diffuser on a table and a bottle on the counter.

Later on in the video, the woman reveals the results by lifting the objects to see if the glitter is gone.

The glitter was still underneath the items except for the bottle on the counter.

However, some people didn't agree with the woman, saying that not everyone lifts all items up every time they are cleaning.

One said: "Maybe just appreciate the fact that he's cleaning. So what he doesn't move stuff? You don't have to do that every single time."

Another said: "Instead of setting them up for failure why don't you be more specific about what you want cleaned?"

While a third person said: "Maybe just communicate with your partner. If someone set traps like this for me I would just feel like they want to start a fight and doesn't trust me".

However, others jumped to the woman's defence, saying her husband should have cleaned the house properly.

They said: "Bothers me when people say "just appreciate he's done it at all" why has it become the norm for men if they do it at all to only do the bare minimum".

Another explained: "Y'all acting like she made a huge mess for him to clean, maybe she has a good reason to think he won't clean. Mine takes a week to wash the dishes."
