Woman shot in neck in Logan Square

The 25-year-old was with friends when she was shot.

She was taken to Illinois Masonic Medical Center in critical condition, police said.

A 25-year-old woman is in critical condition after a shooting Sunday in Logan Square.

She was with her friends about 11:30 p.m. in the 2700 block of North Washtenaw Avenue when someone fired shots, striking her in the neck, Chicago police said. She was taken to Illinois Masonic Medical Center.

Witnesses told officials the shots may have come from the I-90 expressway, police said.

No one is in custody as Area North detectives investigate.
