Woman shot in Lawndale

A 30-year-old woman was in good condition after she was shot Monday afternoon in the Lawndale neighborhood.

She was shot in the side of her abdomen about 2:50 p.m. near Lexington Street and Pulaski Road, according to a statement Chicago police.

The woman took herself to Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood, police said.

The circumstances of the shooting were not immediately released.
