A woman was wounded in a shooting Sunday in Lawndale on the West Side.

About 5:20 a.m., the 36-year-old was riding in a vehicle in the 2900 block of West Lexington Street when a silver Dodge Charger pulled next to it, according to Chicago police. Someone in the Dodge opened fire, hitting the woman in the thigh.

She was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where her condition was stabilized, police said.

No one is in custody as Area North detectives investigate.
