Woman shot, critically wounded while walking in Little Village

A 41-year-old woman was shot and critically wounded while walking in Little Village Thursday night.

About 8:40 p.m. the woman was walking with her husband in the 2900 block of West 25th Street when a male in a green SUV fired shots, striking her in the back, Chicago police said.

She was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in critical condition, police said.

No one is in custody, according to police.
