Woman shares TikTok video of her baby bump 'dropping' during work-out

A mum has shared the moment her baby bump 'dropped' during the middle of her gym workout. Taking to TikTok, the mum, who goes by the username Weird Jaime, uploaded footage of herself exercising with a kettlebell before suddenly having to stop.

Since sharing the clip, which was taken while she was 38 weeks pregnant, she has welcomed a beautiful baby boy. But the self-confessed 'fitness junky' still continues to shock viewers with the phenomenon.

The footage has racked up a whopping 5.6million views, with thousands of likes and comments. In the caption, Jamie wrote: "I nearly peed myself #38weeks #ohno #OscarsAtHome #WomenOwnedBusiness."

The shock is written all over the mum's face as her jaw drops and she crouches on the floor, cradling her bump. Sara Elizabeth replied: "That was really cool to see! You normally never catch them dropping lol."

Claire Barfield added: "Oh wow!! I saw baby drop from here!!!" Heather Stanton joked: "Meanwhile I’m 35 weeks and can barely walk through the grocery store."

Chey exclaimed: "Lol I saw it !!!" Yare7660 laughed: "Baby said get me out of here this lady got me doing exercises." SBF put: "You are amazing for getting those workouts in!!! I could never, love it!!!!"

According to the NHS, in the last weeks, some time before birth, the baby's head should move down into the pelvis. When the baby's head moves down like this, it's said to be "engaged".

When this happens, mums may notice their bump seems to move down a little. Sometimes the head does not engage until labour starts.

Given the timespan, it is difficult to predict. But luckily, Jamie's camera was rolling at the exact moment it happened so she was able to capture it happening.
