Whether its a sentimental locket or your signature wrist accessory, we all have our favourite pieces of jewellery.
However the more you wear it the dirtier it becomes, often losing the sparkle it once had.
But there's no need to rush to the shops and by a replica because one woman has shared a simple tip on how to clean your jewellery, reports the Mirror.
Posting in the Facebook group We Love Mrs Hinch earlier this week she revealed that she poured hot water from the kettle into a bowl and mixed it with washing up liquid.
She tells the group's 132,000 plus members that all you have to do is then put the piece of jewellery in the bowl and soak it for five minutes.
"Decided to try the washing up liquid with hot kettle water to clean my Pandora," she wrote. "The crap that has come off is crazy. All that black is off my charms."
The post quickly got the attention of its cleaning enthusiast members, with one writing: "I definitely need to do this."
Another person commented "hopefully this works", "mine has gone all tarnished and looks awful".
One person added that you can also scrub at jewellery with an old toothbrush, saying that "it's great for rings with gemstones and brings them up lovely".
