Woman shares 'scary' warning for female drivers after claiming car was 'marked' at Tesco

On a daily basis there are a number of things women do to make themselves feel safer when out of the house.

And if that list weren't already long enough, a TikTok user has just sparked a new fear after sharing a warning about cars.

The unnamed woman, who posts under the username @goldenbae247 explained a scary experience she had when shopping at her local Tesco Express.

She told how she'd parked her car in the car park, but when she came back to it, all of her windscreen wipers had been placed in an upright position.

This she thought could be a sign that her car had been "marked".

The TikTok user explained: "If you are a woman and you drive this video is very important.

"So today I was on my way back from work, I finished at 4pm and on my way home from work I stopped at a Tesco Express to get some bread and milk.

"I parked in the car park and went in. I was literally no longer than a couple of minutes and I've come back out and all my window wipers on my car had been pulled upright.

"At first I only saw the back one, so I thought it might have been me, but the front of my car was facing a brick wall and there was no way that could have happened by me or by itself."

She continued: "I've seen a few things going round on Facebook to say that people's cars get marked, whether it was someone trying to attack me, break into my car, god knows, but thankfully I stopped when I see it, I turned around and made a big scene and was shouting like 'Oh my god this is so weird' just to make sure if there was anyone there then they knew I was there.

"I think it's really important to let each other know to look out for these signs.

"I thought I'd come on here and let everyone know because if I can prevent anything bad happening to anyone I will.

"If this happens to you please don't get in your car."

More than 695,000 people have watched the clip, with over 126,000 liking it.

Thousands of people have also commented on the clip, thanking her for sharing and confessing their own similar experiences.

One person replied: "This fully scares me so much."

Another wrote: "Can we literally do anything without having to double-take and feel safe."

A third suggested: "Park closer to the store so there's CCTV and 99% of the time someone would witness. It's a very very sad world that we have to be careful about being."

Someone else commented: "They marked your car. So one person watches to find either a single woman or vulnerable people."

A different user added: "I've been seeing SO many posts about girls being 'marked' and it's honestly sickening."

"As someone who works at a Tesco Express, please feel free to come back and get a member of staff we will come out with you and make sure you're okay," proclaimed a sixth.
