Woman shares 'life-saving' method to clean burnt pans using a dishwasher tablet

No one likes doing the washing up - and the worst part of it is trying to clean burnt pans. We have all felt the pain of scrubbing for ages and coming to the realisation that no amount of elbow grease will rid of the stain.

Thankfully, one mum has managed to come up with a life hack that's going to make all our lives better and get us away from the sink a lot faster. Coming to our rescue, a TikToker has gone viral for sharing her quick and easy method to clean such an item - and people are claiming that it has "saved [their] life".

Sharing the insightful video on TikTok, @captainmumcleans detailed how she burnt her mum's pan, but thankfully knew of a quick fix to rectify the issue.

Those that want to tackle this issue of their own will need just a dishwasher tablet, hot water, and a sponge.

They captioned the post: "Fixing the burnet pan."

"I'm staying at my mum's house," the woman said.

"Yesterday, I ruined her toilet and today I've ruined her pan, but thankfully I know how to fix this one.

She also added hot water (@captainmumcleans/TikTok)

"For burnt pans take a dishwasher tablet, fill the saucepan with water, put it on the hob, let the water get hot, the turn it off - and let it sit!

"Then give it a little scrub and look at the shine on that!"

Sharing a glance of the final result, the steel pan looked perfect - and as good as new - as the effective hack left the pan squeaky clean and shining.

Rushing to the comment section, fellow TikTokers didn't hold back their gratitude for the game-changing hack.

Some helpful users even shared some insightful ways into how they also rid of the stain.

"Fairy liquid over night works too xx," one user suggested.

A second gushed: "You have just saved my life lol."

A third added: "You can use washing powder."

However, a fourth warned: "Big reminder this only works for steel pans if you ruin a non stick pan it’s best to throw it away as the coating is toxic if it comes off the pan."
