Woman shares hack for getting perfect curls - using only a dressing gown belt

If you're desperate to have flowing beachy waves in your hair, but don't want to worry about damaging it using a styling tool, then you're in luck.

That's because there's a very simple hair hack that's doing the rounds on social media right now - and apparently all you need to do it is the belt from a dressing gown.

Yes, really.

The trick was shared on TikTok by a user named Bri Harmonn, who filmed herself trying it out on her own hair, with unbelievable results.

Before going to bed, Bri took the belt from her dressing gown and placed it on her head.

She then divided her hair down the middle, into two even sections, then began wrapping the hair, away from her face, around the belt.

She says: "So I think you kind of do it like a French braid, and you just go around in circles, gathering more hair as you go and repeat the process until you get to the end and then you tie it in a ponytail."

Bri keeps on going until all of her straight hair is wrapped around the belt and she looks a little like Pippi Longstocking.

The young woman then sleeps on her hair and films the big reveal the next morning.

As she unwraps her hair, it's clear to see waves and curls in her hair - and the expression on her face says it all.

Shocked by how well it worked, she comments: "Ok, what?!"

The video then continues to show how the hairstyle stays in her hair throughout the rest of the day.

Bri captioned the clip, writing: "This is cringeworthy, but 10/10 would recommend."

So far more than one million people have watched the video on TikTok.

It's also garnered over 230,000 likes.

One person commented: "I'm genuinely shocked wth it looks so good."

Another said: "Works with hair around shoulder length too. My friend just did it with short hair and it looks great."

"Wait it's literally gorgeous," proclaimed a third.

A different user added: "I tried this last night and HOLY MOLY YUP IT WORKS."
