A woman has shared a little-known dishwasher hack that'll transform your life - specifically the way you wash the dishes.
TikTok user @amandajosefinaa was amazed when she watched the video, which showed her how to make better use of her dishwasher.
In the clip, a wineglass is placed on the top shelf of the dishwasher but the height of the glass blocks the tray from sliding back into place.
But then the user moves a clip on the side of the tray and all of a sudden it falls down a notch, enabling the glass to fit inside the dishwasher with ease.
In Amanda's video, she watches the original clip with wide eyes before dashing downstairs to see if her washing machine has the same feature - and to her surprise it does.
She shared the video with her 3,511 followers and was soon inundated with comments from people saying they hadn't realised the trick either.
User Daniel Wright said: "We've got the same dishwasher, I just tried it and the same thing happened - Mind blown. Sadly the plates don't fit in the bottom shelf now."
Another viewer named Traci said: "And all this time I thought I accidentally broke the top shelf."
And a third named Danny wrote: "Had the dishwasher six years and did not realise I do that! Thanks."
But it turns out not all dishwashers have that option, as someone else added: "Me running to my dishwasher to find out it doesn't have this."
Meanwhile, we may not all know exactly how our dishwashers work, but one man didn't realise he had one until the day he moved out of his home.
