A frightened resident is warning her neighbours to be vigilant after her CCTV camera captured "creepy" footage of a man appearing to wait outside of her front door in the middle of the night.
The video recorded the strange incident at the house on The Darlings in Hart village, near Hartlepool, just before 3.15am on Monday, Teesside Live reports.
It shows a man standing on the path to the front door for several minutes, looking at the front of the house and intermittently using his phone.

He then disappears for about an hour before being seen running from the side of her house and getting into a car.
The resident, who does not want to be named, said: "He was stood there for a few minutes from 3.15am to 3.21am.
"He then disappeared for an hour [but I'm] not sure where.
"Then he came back running from the side of our house and into a car.
"Nothing seems to be taken but it's just super creepy."
The resident reported the incident to Cleveland Police but said they did not ask for the recordings.
The force declined to comment on the video when contacted by Teesside Live.
The woman said she does not know of any other residents seeing the man that night on their CCTV cameras but has shared the video on a community Facebook page for the village to raise awareness.
"I’ve asked my neighbours close to me but as far as I can see it's just around our house," she said.
She added: "The villages need a police presence occasionally and it will reduce fear 100%."
Meanwhile, another resident reported a similar incident which was said to have taken place several weeks ago.
"A few weeks back I came out of our house early one morning when it was still dark, at about 5.45am," she said.
"I noticed a male figure stood over the road from where we live, just standing there staring. He then disappears
"I didn't recognise this person; he wasn't a dog walker or anyone I would have known from the village and it really unnerved me."
