Woman shares controversial damp sheets tip that makes bedding feel more 'crisp'

If you have very strong feelings about the way a bed should be made, then one woman's damp sheets hack might have you raising your eyebrows.

Posting on TikTok, Lori Parker, who has the username @loriparker8, claims she saw a video saying that for "fresher, crisper" sheets you should put clean sheets on the bed while still wet.

Intrigued, she decided to give it a go and see what happened.

She filmed herself changing her bedding and added captions to the clip, explaining that she washed her sheets and put them in the tumble dryer for five minutes, before taking them out and putting them on the bed.

Lori left the sheets to finish air-drying on the bed and then came back later to check the results.

Fellow TikTok user Grisel, known as @fancybudgetingwife, also filmed herself trying the damp sheet tip out on her bed, putting her bottom sheet on while still wet.

Her video receiving hundreds of comments with many people concerned about what the damp would do to the mattress.

Some suggested it would become "mouldy" or smell "sour".

But Grisel brushed off concerns, claiming it made her bed really "fresh" and she loved that there were no wrinkles in the sheets.

She added that whether or not you like the damp hack or not will come down to "personal preference."
